Media, Fundraising & Child Protection Policy

1. Absolute Commitment to Child Safeguarding

New Fatuma Rise Foundation is strictly dedicated to protecting the rights, privacy, and psychological well-being of all children in our care. In accordance with the Kenyan Children Act (2022) and international child protection standards, we enforce a strict policy to prevent any form of digital exploitation, stigmatization, or dignity violation of minors.

2. Strict Anonymization & Facial Blurring Policy

To ensure the absolute security and privacy of the children in our beneficiary communities, New Fatuma Rise Foundation has implemented a strict digital protection protocol for all website media:

  • Mandatory Facial Blurring: The faces of minor children are systematically and digitally blurred, pixelated, or creatively obscured (e.g., shot from behind/angles) on all publicly accessible website pages, images, and promotional videos.
  • Data Minimization: No full names, specific residential locations, or school names of minors are ever published.
  • Metadata Stripping: All digital image and video files are completely stripped of EXIF and GPS location metadata prior to being uploaded to our website.

3. Purpose of Media Publication (Project Presentation & Fundraising)

Any media elements displayed on this website serve the sole purpose of:

  • Transparently presenting our humanitarian and community assistance projects.
  • Conducting ethical fundraising appeals to secure vital donations for the foundation's operations.
  • Reporting on the impact and progress of our programs to donors.

4. Informed Parental Consent

Notwithstanding our strict facial blurring policy, any imagery or storytelling regarding minors is backed by prior, verifiable, written, and informed consent obtained from the respective parents or legal guardians in Kenya.

5. Copyright and Prohibition of Exploitation

All media assets on this website are the intellectual property of New Fatuma Rise Foundation. The unauthorized downloading, duplicating, distributing, or scraping of any images or videos from this platform is strictly prohibited. Any breach will be aggressively prosecuted under local and international data protection laws.

6. Right to Erasure & Take-Down Inquiries
